I don't believe cameras are cinematic. I believe people are.
Buying a better camera was the biggest mistake I made as a photographer.
I genuinely believed, with every fibre of my being, that cinematic photos came from better gear, expensive cameras and ultra-sharp lenses. It makes sense. Better tools make the job better... right?
Every new camera promised to make my photos look better.
None of them did.
Eventually I got fed up with spending money on new gear that, ultimately, while making a technically better photo, still felt lifeless.
I stopped asking: "What's the best camera?" and started asking: "What makes a photo feel cinematic?"
That question changed everything.
